How do I install TutorHive?

Visit the Chrome Web Store, search for "TutorHive AI Solver", and click "Add to Chrome". Once installed, click the extension icon in your toolbar and sign in with Google to get started.

How many questions can I ask for free?

Free users can ask up to 5 questions per day. Your limit resets at midnight (UTC). Upgrade to Pro for unlimited questions.

What subjects does TutorHive support?

TutorHive supports 70+ subjects including Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Economics, Computer Science, Literature, and more. It works with both text-based and visual problems (equations, diagrams, graphs).

How does the screenshot feature work?

Click the TutorHive extension icon and select "Capture Screenshot", or right-click on any page and choose "Capture & Solve Screenshot". Draw a rectangle around the problem you want to solve. TutorHive's AI will analyze the image and provide a step-by-step solution.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We use Supabase with Row-Level Security to protect your data. Screenshots are processed and immediately discarded. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Click the TutorHive extension icon, then click "Upgrade to Pro" in the popup. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Pro costs $7.99/month and gives you unlimited questions.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Open the TutorHive extension popup and click "Manage Billing". This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel your subscription. After cancelling, you'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

TutorHive isn't working on a page. What should I do?

TutorHive can't run on Chrome system pages (like chrome:// URLs or the Chrome Web Store). Navigate to a regular website and try again. If it still doesn't work, try these steps:

  • Refresh the page
  • Reload the extension (go to chrome://extensions, toggle TutorHive off and on)
  • Make sure you're signed in (click the extension icon to check)

I got "Session expired" — what do I do?

Click the TutorHive extension icon, sign out, and sign back in with Google. This refreshes your authentication token. If the issue keeps happening, try removing and re-adding the extension.

Can I use TutorHive on multiple devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same Google account on any Chrome browser. Your Pro subscription and question history are tied to your account, not a specific device.
